Transferring your domain over to Redsteps Web is a simple process. We also offer free domain transfers for Australian domains (.com.au) with our service.
Just follow these steps and you will have transferred your domain over in no time!
1. Log into your account on Redsteps Web.
2. On the menu, click Domains, then click “transfer a domain to us” and it will take you to the transfer page.
3. Type in your domain in the form of “yourdomain.com.au” without the www. and the https://. On the next line type in your EPP code.
4. You will now be led onto the next page to fill out your details and set up the details of your new domain.
- Tick all 3 options available to allow you to have free DNS Management, ID Protection & Email Forwarding. All 3 options are free and increase the options on how you can use your domain name.
- Registrant Name: Your name.
- Registrant ID: Your business’ ABN or ACN.
- Registrant ID Type: Depending on the details you entered for your Registrant ID, this will be either “ABN” or “ACN”.
- Eligibility Name: Your business name
- Eligibility ID: Your business ABN or ACN etc
- Eligibility ID Type: The type of business you run – most commonly Company / Sole Trader
- Eligibility Reason: Choose whether your domain is a close match to your business name or if it is linked to your business’ operations.
- Nameservers: You can leave this as the default settings unless you know your website is hosted with another provider. In this case, you will need to add the nameservers for where your website is hosted.
5. After you have set up these details, click “Continue” and you will be able to review your order and complete the checkout process.
Please note that these instructions are just for registering your domain name. You might also want to set up website hosting, which is the space your website will live.
