Purchasing a website hosting package with Redsteps Web is a simple process.
Just follow these steps and you will have put in your website hosting package order in no time!
1. Browse for the hosting package you want to purchase. Go to store on the menu and ‘browse all’ to review the different options. When you have decided, click “order now” next to the package.
2. Choose an option depending on whether you prefer paying once a year or on a monthly basis and depending on the size of service you want to purchase.
3. To have a website hosting package, you also need a domain name to point to your website files. The next step determines if you want a new domain, will transfer one or update your existing domain with another provider. Choose from
- Registering a new domain: suitable if you are setting up a new website
- Transferring your new domain: suitable if you already have a domain and want to move your domain to Redsteps web so they are both in the same location. This will help us support you better if you have issues setting up your website.
- Using your existing domain and update nameservers: suitable if you want to keep your domain in your original hosting service and will update your nameservers in your existing environment.
Redsteps Web recommend choosing either option a. or b. as it allows you to manage your website hosting and domain name in the same space.
4. You will now be led onto the next page to fill out your details and set up the details of your new domain.
- Tick all 3 options for DNS Management, ID Protection & Email Forwarding. All 3 options are free and increase the options on how you can use your domain name
- Registrant Name: Your name.
- Registrant ID: Your business’ ABN or ACN.
- Registrant ID Type: Depending on the details you entered for your Registrant ID, this will be either “ABN” or “ACN”.
- Eligibility Name: Your business name
- Eligibility ID: Your business ABN or ACN etc
- Eligibility ID Type: Select from the drop-down list – most commonly Company / Sole Trader
- Eligibility Reason: Choose whether your domain is a close match to your business name or if it is linked to your business’ operations.
- Nameservers: You can leave this as the default settings.
5. After you have set up these details, click “Continue” and you will be able to review your order and complete the checkout process.
